..but a bit pricey. The steak is cooked well, but I think I prefer prime rib. The bacon-wrapped scallops were fantastic. Good service, intimate setting.

This is seriously the best steak we have had. I grew up in Texas where we pride ourselves with out BBQ skills. However, Donavan's has mastered the art of grilling a steak...as well as an atomosphere that will embarass the majority of so called steak houses. This place is a 'must do'.

Donovan's has perfect service to all ages and the wait staff is patient and extremely helpful. The food is simply delicious--the best steaks we ever had, and the rest of the menu was also wonderful.

Donovan's Steak House has superior food. I especially enjoy the Filet Mignon which is cooked perfectly. I have never had a bad or even mediocre meal there.
The service is impeccable. Whenever I want to go to a restaurant which is a cut above, I always choose Donovan's.

Wow, I don't know what I can say about Donovan's expect that you need to experience it for yourself. I was first turned onto this place by Rick Roberts, radio host on KFMB 760. If you want top notch prime rib or some of the best steaks in all of San Diego you need to check out this place. I am sold and go every chance I get. Also if you are a cigar aficionado this place has a full service cigar bar.
