Although the cave is beautiful, staff and circumstances make it hard to enjoy the visit. The biggest setback is the ban on photography. When asked the staff said it was imposed because of safety reasons, but the paths in the cave are broad and well paved. You can't touch anything. You can't take pictures. If you buy a bottle of water from their own gift shop, they berate you and kick you out of the building. That about sums it up.

Kartchner Caverns is a waste of time, money, and effort. I wouldn't recommend that anyone go and visit this park unless they enjoy being treated rudely and like a nuissance by the staff.

Never liked caves, been to Mammoth Cave and thought the tour would never end. When visiting relatives in Tucson we went to Kartchner Caverns,IT WAS GREAT!!!! We plan to go back next time in Tuscon.
