Self guided tour but absolutely wonderful. Visit in early morning or late night. Sit quietly at the waterhole and the javalina come in for a drink too.
I live in Tucson and often go an visit just for some
think time. I live east and there is an east and west monument. If you hike or bike you will love this place.

  • Great hiking
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/12/05
I was only able to spend two days here, but had a great time driving through the Western portion of the park, as well as hiking the Hugh Norris trail. Coming from the east coast, I found the desert to be gorgeous and a nice change of scenery. Just be sure to hike very early, and bring lots of water and sunscreen! Next time I think I would try roadbiking the paved roads.
