While I agree Sedona can be costly there are many ways to budget a trip. Seeing the glorious simplicity of the Chapel of the Holy Cross in the magnificent Red Rock area is worth the trip. It is hard to turn around out there without viewing a vista that takes your breath away! While there try to fit in a drive up to the Sedona airport. Pull over at the overlook and fall in love with the country.

Absolutely a must-see! This incredible chapel truly encompasses a spiritual experience for anyone of any faith. It's so sad that such a beautiful place has no services for an even greater spiritual experience. Small weddings would be an excellent service if nothing else . . . please consider Chapel board of executives. tml
The city is Sedona is a very beautiful vacation destination, how ever extremely expensive. I would not recommend it at this time as a family destination, as a resident of this town I am apauled at the manner in which Sedona treats its work force. Most of the people who work here are families, who live outside of the city. Not by choice, Sedona Az ...
No negatives to this place! A beautiful and holy spot. One of the highlights of our visit to Sedona! Younger children may not fully appreciate the spiritual aspects of a visit.

The Chapel is the most beautiful structure I have ever seen. The contrast between the one colored straight lines and angles of the Chapel, against the multi colored free flowing red rocks is breathtaking. Inside the Chapel, which is very small, I too felt very small. Although I'm not an overly religious person, I was in awe of my ...

God is Awesome

I went to the Chapel in 2002, in July. We were in Sedona to escape the inferno in Phoenix. I hadn't been there since 1995. When we got there I knew it had been too long. At first, we couldn't see it from the road. It blends with the scenery perfectly, but then we saw it, what an incredible sight. The chapel is magnificent. So simply ...

You have to go and experience this for yourself

I can not express in words the feeling that overcame me as I sat inside this Chapel. We lived in California at the time of our visit. Now I live in Florida and still have the feeling of "needing to go back" and experience this BEAUTIFUL and Peaceful Chaple again.
The architecture isn't that interesting, and I know it was built by a Frank Llyod Wrigt student. Admittedly, I don't like all of Frank Lloyd Wright's designs or his influences. In addition, the chapel destroys part of the scenery and natural beauty of the area by having this large stucture built into the rock.
The Chapel is positively breathtaking. There is no describing the spiritual lift you will get from a few minutes here. Be renewed. This is one of the mosr memorable structures I've ever visited, not because it is vast or ornate but possibly because of it's simplicity. Give youself a moment to enjoy this wonderful place. A camera is a must, but don't be so focused behind the lense that you miss the overall joy of the place.
