I've lived in Sedona for over 25 years, and have watched restaurants come and go. This one's here to stay. I have dined there dozens of times since they opened, and I've never had a bad meal or lacked for a good time. Great food, and great drinks. Pre-dinner nachos are zesty. Friendly staff, and not too pretentious. I try to have dinner there every time I visit Sedona.

I've never been a fan of Mexican food, but Javelina Cantina made me a beliver. It's the best I've ever had. I'm living in California now, but I'll never forget their food. If you ever have a chance, stop by.

I consulted this web site to get reviews of mexican restaurants in Sedona before picking one. I picked this one based on the strong reviews here. Unfortunately, it is difficult to qualify the tastes of anonymous reviewers and how they align with your own perspective. let me try to clarify my perspective.

We are from so. calif., so we have experienced a lot of mexican food over the years. The catfish was very different and tasty, as were the tamales. Almost anyone can make a decent taco or enchilada, so we were surprised at the quality of the food. The scenery is special at Sedona and in this restaurant, so come in before it gets dark and enjoy it!

We spend most weekends in Sedona and have dinner at Javalina Cantina every time we're in town. The food is excellent and so is the service! The restaurant is cute and the views are phenomenal. All of the seafood entrees are excellent as are the enchiladas. We would highly recommend it.

My sis & I went here for dinner hoping for authentic Mexican food. Although we live in WI, there is a large Mexican population in our area who run wonderful restaurants so we have high standards. The Javelina Cantina food was a bit below what we expected and the prices were about 50% higher than what we are use to paying. But the portions are HUGE! ...

When it comes to mexican food, this is "the" restaruant of choice for the locals who live here.

Great view, and fun to walk through the courtyard with some of the best art in town.
