I have purchased all my guitars from Monty. I found this store the year it opened 1989. Monty is the salt of the earth. I moved 2500 miles away and still buy from him. We will be coming out soon Monty cant wait to see you guys again.

Monty himself sold my guitar student an acoustic with a twisted neck. I discovered the twisted neck and even went with my student to Monty's to return the guitar and pick out a new one. Monty would NOT RETURN the guitar and even tried to say the guitar could be fixed if we paid for a Set-Up. My student had purchased the guitar only 3 days ...

Checking out was slow

Monty's is a great place! I was looking for something specific, and Monty helped me find it. He also helped me with all the starting supplies I'd need to get going. I never felt condescended to at all, even though I asked a lot of really "green guitarist" questions. A great deal and brilliant service. The only way I could improve Monty's would be to move the shop closer to home.

I've been going to Monty's for lessons for years and over that time I have begun to know him and his employees on a near personal scale. The lessons are thorough (as is the musical selection) plus Monty will special order anything you want (as long as you know what you want). Prices on guitars are excellent and occasionally there is a used gem for sale. Overall, it's an emporium of music perfect for Scottsdale!

We have rented and bought from this store, and were pleased with the quality, service and overall experience. I will definitely use Monty's for all future musical purchases.

Great Store.

It was nice to go to a music store and have that neighboorhood hang vibe. Monty- the store owner- was great to talk with and was knowledgeble about current trends in music. Good selection of sticks and accessories.

This store is something else....rarely do you find a store that both exceeds in both excellent selection and service in Phoenix.
Truely an unusual experience in this day and age.
