Not the usual Tex Mex you find everywhere else. Try the mexcican stew (can't" remember the name - comes in a steel pot) ask for it you wll not be sorry.

The food was wonderful. I had the chicken mole enchiladas and they were very authentic. The rice is the most flavorful I've ever had - with a fresh garlic taste - very nice. unbelievably noisy -- too many drunks.
salsa with chips was bitter and runny.
service was excellent and the food was good but not great.
don't go on a weekend if you want a pleasant dining experience.

Go to Taco Bell and get a six pack - you're wallet and your colon will thank you. If you go, try a nice patio seats by the bano, that will provide some atmosphere.

Heard good things about this place and made the drive today to have lunch... I hate to say, but it wasn't worth the 35 minute drive. We sat in the back patio and spent most of the meal wondering where our waitress was. In her defense she was running the back bar, but this doesn't make our experience any better.
The food did not make up for the lack of service either, it was OK but nothing stood out as spectacular.

Everything here is wonderful. The food is always fresh. Absolutely the best Mexican food in Scottsdale. If possible sit on the patio.

Frank and Lupe's is a refreshing change from most of it's neighbors. Good, quality food without the high price. Their patio is great when the weather permits, which is 90% of the time!

I'm baffled that I somehow overlooked this place until last week. There's many great mexican places here (La Hacienda, Blue Agaze, Old Town Tortilla Factory, et al) but this is my new favorite! Great margaritas, terrific chicken mole, all the traditional favorites. Their back porch ("Cantina") is very cute, will have to try that when it gets warm again (or quits raining, whichever comes first).
