good variety of fishing,boating,wildlife veiwing,and pther activities.really enjoyed the day there on boat fishing for cat fish,and photographing wildlife and scenery.one thing i would like to see is better access for wheelchair users to board and unboard boats.
The area is just gorgeous and awe-inspiring. On closer inspection, the lakeshore at the Canyon Lake campground was downright dirty (caveat: we didn't check out the other sites). Went to Canyon Lake in January 2006, the lake was almost empty, it was 75 degrees outside and the lake was like a sheet of glass, the canyons were great. We had a great afternoon out on the lake. We hired a pontoon boat for an hour and just cruised our way thru the canyons. Awesome photo opportunities! It was a relaxing and enjoyable time.
