We had dinner there last week...sorry, not at all up to a Diner, Dives type of place!! Our service was poor...we had to ask the bus boy to get our waitress attention..she has having a long consversation with another table. Our food was on the cool side..And I thought was of small quantity for the price.

We will not be going back and not giving out any recommendations either.

Pro's: Good food, good beer, good times. Try the Schwizer Schnitzel (my personal favorite). Tons of German beers on tap as well.

Cons: Closes a bit early.

I did not think the taste of German food at Haus Murphy's came close to the real thing .

I have been in the USA for 45 years and miss good ole German home cooking. House Murphy comes very close. Since moving to the Phoenix area nine months we have been eating there at least once a month.

Compared to the many years I lived in Germany, Haus Murphy comes very close to the real thing....a great place for the whole family. The outdoor patio was very comfortable.

The food tasted as I remember as a child. The whole place gave my spirit a lift--from the chef coming to personally talk @ my table to the smells.

Love the place...was stationed in the service in 1975 - 1979 in Schwabisch Gmund Germany and this is the first place I could find authentic and delicious German food here in the Valley. The potato salad and red cabbage is wonderful and brings back memories...thank you.

I've been to Haus Murphy several times for comedy shows and have had a great time. The food is great, the beer is cold, and the wait staff while sometimes a bit slow (when crowded) is very friendly. I recommend it highly.

I have a sensitive stomach to some ethnic foods, but I can tell you that every time I go to Murphy's I leave satisfied, full, and my dinner always sits well. I can only describe it as FEEL GOOD GERMAN CUISINE. I just wish they had a location in the east valley. I would probably be there every night for dinner.
