The George and Dragon is one of the more poplular nesting places for many of the valley's ex Brits and Irish. The weekends in particular bring them out in throngs. That was throngs - not thongs! The ale is generally good and some, like Fullers is hard to find on draft elsewhere. Pints are served in American 16 oz measures. It is a pub that is ...

Making the trip to George and Dragon is definitely worth your time. If you have never been to England but would like to go, step inside the door of this authentic British pub and restaurant to experience some of the best food in town and a little slice of their homeland. Easy to disappear
By Tom J, 11/20/06
Easy place to walk into, sit back, grab a mug and shoot the breeze. You walk into the George and Dragon and 10 minutes in and you forget your in Phoenix. If you want good service, go somewhere else, if you want a great atmosphere and place where people are actually interested in laughing, having fun, and just feeling so comfortable you don't wanna leave, this is your place!

I started with a headache in the restaurant half way through my meal ...

The closest thing to a REAL PUB
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/30/05
We enjoy going to G&D once every couple of months, it reminds us of home in the UK, and its the only place where we can get the things we once enjoyed back home. The food is great, and the atmosphere is good. The Sunday Roast is the best! Sometime the run out of things, like ScotchEgg SO ITS BEST TO CALL BEFORE YA GO TO MAKE SURE THEY HAVE WHAT YOU WANT!
