My family and I visited the Canyon the week after the fourth of July 09. Great vacation, we recommend the trip. As far as this restaurant, the service was awful. We have eaten from one side of the country to the other and this service was the worst. The dishware was filthy. We should have walked out. We didnt dare drink the water as the glasses ...

We can't wait to go back!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/31/08
We stayed at the Thunderbird Lodge the night before we took the mules down to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and stayed at the Phantom Ranch! What an experience! We were all a little nervous at first but once we got a little way down the trail, we got used to it. But the morning before we left, we had breakfast at the Bright Angel Restaurant. I ...

Corn Chowder Soup

We visited the Grand Canyon in March of 2008. The night before we took the mule trip down to Phantom Ranch we decided to eat at this restuarant. We split a meal and each ordered a cup of the Corn Chowder Soup. It was excellent! It has a Southwestern flavor. We asked for the recipe but were told it wasn't available to the public. After ...

We loved the food. And it was so close to the rim! From most of the seating you could see a view of the canyon. I recomend stopping for breakfast before a trip down Bright Angel Trail.
they do not take advantage of you here. The menu has sufficient variety priced well within reason. The service is excellent and fast!

Great food, great service!

If you want somewhere quick, not too pricey and delicious to eat, this is definitely the place! Try the garden salad with tomato basil dressing, I would eat salad every day if I had this salad dressing! The service is good, the food is good and it is just steps from the Grand Canyon. I highly recommend this restaurant to everybody (it is kid friendly, and the dress is casual)
All the bad things that you may have heard about the Bright Angel restaurant are probably true. They have a captive audience and can do what ever they want. Although my coffee cup was refilled every five minutes, it should not have taken 25 minutes to have my order taken, or another 30 minutes to receive watered-down biscuits and gravy. You can ...

Don't waste your time nor money

This was my second time at the Bright Angel. The first visit (nearly 3 years ago) wasn't anything to write home about, however, I decided that everyone deserves another chance. Well I was wrong. My fiancee and I stopped for lunch and checked the menu in the hall way to see if their was anything on the menu that captured our attention. And ...

Great place to eat at the GC

We ate at this restaurant and the Yavapai cafeteria during our 3 night stay. The Bright Angel Restaurant was simply fantastic. Great service, good food, decent prices. The wait staff this summer gets big kudos...very friendy and eager to please.
The food at the Yavapai lodge cafeteria, near where we stayed, was acceptable, but it was ...

I have high expectations from restraunts and this restraunt was outstanding. The service was very friendly and always there to check on you whether you needed the service or not (but not a bug). The food was terrific especially for breakfast.
