  • It rocks!

    I took my kids to this park to simply take pictures from the car. A jet flew directly over our heads, and the kids wanted to stay to explore. We climbed down the rocks. With help, even my 3 y.o. made it. We spent the hour skipping rocks and collecting the most unusual ones. Other kids on the beach were swimming and scaling the cliffs. Many families were walking, some with dogs. The view was beautiful. Very relaxing way to spend some time.

  • Great view of the city

    We headed out here after dark and never left the car. It is a great spot to sit and watch the city lights. Quiet, peaceful, beautiful.

    We had hoped to see the northern lights, but sadly the cloud cover never broke. I can certainly see why this would be the place to go though.

  • Private beach walk

    Steep downhill walk to base of cliff. Beach walk at base of cliff, jets flying directly overhead (taking off from Anchorage International airport), birds nesting in holes dug in cliffs, possible to walk in winter on snow and ice. Amazing views of Cook Inlet, city of Anchorage in distance. Baluga whale sightings - occassionally. Dogs can run ...
