Beautiful building....not well layed out. Very difficult to get around in. Seems they spent their money on the building and not books. A real shame for a city the size of Anchorage.

I think I liked the Loussac Library because it is very easy to find books, is very laid out , and has several very comfortable reading area. Another plus is the events that go on there and the coffee shop there.

needed to have a quiet place to do some work while on the road, and found they had free internet, in addition to an interesting section on alaska (well, duh!) also, a great little coffee shop with reasonable prices.

Loussac Library is the heart of the Anchorage Community. Outside next to the parking lot the wonderful fountain is surrounded by colorful flowers in the summer and becomes an ice sculpture during winter. I love to just go to the loussac and read my books. It is a great atmosphere, with lots of friendly staff. Ireally hate it when I have to leave! Another great thing about it, is there is a cafe right next door, so I can stay and not get hungry. I also love that I can not only take out ooks, but movies, books on tape, and Cd's too!!
