This was my first trip to a Thaii restaurant, but I wasn't too impressed by the door. It was just plastic shreds hanging up. To me, that looks like it would allow flies and other bugs and rodents in. The food was great and so was the service. It is a definite go back though.

In most restaurants, Thia can be hit or miss with too much Curry, etc. NOT surin. Well balanced and almost everything on the menu is top notch. I have been to many Thia restaurants and Surin West is the best I have tasted. Excellent food for a moderate price. Great lunch specials.

Best Thai food in the city, great sushi!! Great menu and selection, great drinks! You cant go wrong here, it is our favorite place in B-Ham to eat! A++++

the food is absolutly wonderful. the service however is horrible you talk to your waiter and then give him your order. You then seem to see the food runner or assistant waiter bring out all the food and appitezers while you see the server just talking with other coworkers. Not the least bit interested until he gives you the check.

My husband and I love going to SW on our "date nights" Recently, we got up the nerve to take the kids with us (see how much we like this place). The kids loved it!! We always try to get a window seat so we can people watch (look for the "flowers-guy")while waiting on our food. It does get crowded so service can seem slow but ...

I had the pleasure of eating at Surin and I ordered the chicken noodle bowl it is the best Thai food I have ever eaten. I am glad there is finally a real Thai restaurant in Birmingham Alabama. Keep up the good work.

Not enough good things to say about Surin! Drink menu is fabulous, coconut shrimp soup is a must try, sushi is great, and service has always been on top of things when I've been there! My only con is that it is a little noisy if you are trying for a quiet dinner.

We had a group go today for lunch. When we got there at 11:20 we told them that there would be 7, 4 of sat down and actually when the other 3 came in there were 2 extra but no big deal we were just going to sit closer and no bigee. This place has an extraordinary sushi and Thai cuisine, Service is quick and professional. It is my favorite restaurant in Birmingham. It is an excellent place to go take your friends and family.
