  • Too Crowded
    By Elizabeth, 11/04/09
They pack you in like sardines and try to get you out as soon as they can to turn over tables. I have been going to PV for over 15 years. We thought Pipis was fun at first but now we refuse to go near the place. The last time we went we waited for about 20 minutes to get in (it can get busy at dinner time). They sat us in a table right by the ...

  • 10+ years of good visits to Pipis
    By Dave, 02/21/09
First of all, you need to understand that Pipis is NOT a Mexican restaurant. It is a restaurant designed explicitly to separate tourists from their money.

Yes, it is owned Mexicans. In fact, all the brothers live close by (as in across the street).
Yes, it is staffed by Mexicans. And they provide excellent service.
Yes, some of the food is ...

  • Never coming back
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/11/08
We were recommended to go to Pipi's by a Tour guide and he said it was definitely one of the greatest places in town. We visited this restaurant on 12-3-08 for lunch. There were a group of six (three couples)of us. This was our first time in P.V. (we were all tourists from a cruise trip). We were sat immediately after arriving into the ...

Every time I come to PVR I go to Pipis. I am never disappointed. Everything about the place is great.

The staff are attentive and fun. The food is plentiful and tasty, my favourite is the guacomole. And the cocktails!!! HUGE!!

omg!! I love it. I'm mexican but still I didn't know what to order the food is amazing, the mood is awsome cause there's mariachi.
They ground the wacamole right in front of you so you know it's fresh.. I really recomend the quesadillas that are filled with like mushrooms and salsa they're sooo good..

  • Fun and Noisy Place
    By JanieM, 05/05/08
Very noisy and fun setting. Hard to hear your mate talk, but a very fun place to go with a group of people. The homemade guacamole at the table was very good! Our dinners were reasonable and you got a lot of food, very fun setting.

  • Best for 20+ years
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/21/08
My wife and I have been going to Pipi's since they opened when it was less than 1/2 the size. Always treated with good food and friendliness by all. The best margaritas and lively music with mariachis. The food has been consistently good. Only thing I miss is the seafood soup they originaly served.

  • Our favorite in PV
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/03/08
We visit Puerto Vallarta every other year and never miss a visit to Pipi's. The food is excellent and there is a lot of energy in the room. It makes a great place for lunch or dinner. We always go with a large group and have a blast with the mariachi players. I am surprised it is not in the top 10 on Yahoo! as it is our favorite restaurant in PV and would be the one I would choose above all others.

    By DON, 01/28/08
yes - Pipi's fun and loud, but by no means is the food "authentic" nor is it quality... It felt like a factory, as you get roped into buying the picture they take of your table, tip the mariachi band, and tip the guacamole waiter. The nachos and salsa tasted store bought (literally).

We go to Puerto Vallarta yearly, and finally ...
