We went 2 times - the first time we were talking with a couple at the next table and didn't check our bill and the change included a lot of small coins (50, 20 and 10 centavos) and it was only when we got back to our hotel that we realized the bill was too high and we're not sure about the change.

I'm Mexican so I have HIGH expectations for my Mexican and sea food.

This is a great place to eat and to enjoy the surroundings while visiting the old town of Puerto Vallarta. I had the seafood soup and it was excellent.

We always eat at Cafe de Olla when we visit Puertor Vallarta - at least 2 or 3 times.
It has a noisy restaurant, but that's part of the fun. The fun is delicious and fairly priced. Their menu changes frequently. We just got back from PV and unfortunately, Cafe de Olla was closed for low season.

Delicious seafood platter! Whole lobsters cooked outside on the grill. Service is not the best, but we eat here every year while on vacation. No lines during low season.
