  • Manager needs Business Management Lesson
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/25/08
Eight of us went to lunch there today Jan 24th, 2008. Service is fine, food average.
When we were lined up to pay with about 20 other people the manager was loudly berating a customer (who was paying) for not ordering more than $5 worth of food, apparently it was mentioned on the menu...Excuse me!! Not only did he lose that one customer he lost 8 of us. If you go there, may the luck of the Irish be with you as you will need it if he is around!!

  • My favourite pub.
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/29/06
Ever since the Mad Hatter moved from it's original basement location, the Old Dublin has become my favourite pub.

The staff is friendly, the food is great, the ambiance is awesome.

A great place to go for a beer or two, eat lunch or dinner or to impress your date ;)

    A definite must...judge by yourselves.

  • it's ok
    By Balqan, 05/01/06
As a pub is ok, but if you are hungry too, there are better places to go. They have a good sellection of beers and the service is good.

  • Always stop here when in Montreal
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/03/06
We go to Montreal at Christmas and always stop in here for a pint or two. It has the feel of a local pub but everyone is made to feel welcome. A nice change from the trendy and "chain" places that cater to the kids. Always a nice, mixed age crowd.

Because every city needs a pub. And darts are a bonus.

  • Great Pub!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/22/04
We came in from Calgary last weekend for a few days and had a blast!

At first we felt out of place thinking that it was just a quite pub. We wanted to get loud, and not just sit and chat.

There was a group that got loud (in a great way!!) and it was a blast! The live music was excelent.

Thanks Montreal, for yet another great night! I ...

  • Old Dublin Pub
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/18/04
There are so many members of the old staff who are now gone that the charm of this gem has faded. However, the memories that rush to the forefront upon entering are priceless. You can't go to McGill and not get drunk at the Old Dublin at least 200 times. What ever happened to Jeff?

  • The Old Dublin
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/06/04
The Old Dublin Pub is one of Montreal`s best Irish establishments. Situated in the back of parking lot on the corner of Cathcart just south of Ste-Catherine street. the Old dub has excellent hamburgers and great beer. What more do you want in a pub? The menu is very good and the atmosphere is pure local. I enjoy it very much.
