Treated poorly before even being seated. We left before ordering our food it was so bad. If you want to be treated like cattle, eat here.
I left and went to frans just nearby, and had an enjoyable meal.

Cheap? Not really. Large Portions? Definetly Not.

Okay, the decor is neat, and it's so cool to say I'm going to "eggspection" for breakfast. But the good stops there. The place has slow service, skimpy dishes, and crummy tables if you don't snag a booth. Would suggest avoiding.
We were looking for a casual breakfast place that had a good, fresh and healthy selection that would satisfy us. The hotel recommended Eggspectation. We were not disappointed. We took a short 15 minute walk from our hotel early in the morning. They open at 7am, so make sure to get there before the weekend crowds arrive. Best bet is to get ...

OUTSTANDING!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/05/07
I cannot say enough about Eggspectaion. We had a large group of 107 hungry people who had just driven 11 hours. The manager of the downtown Montreal location on Maisonneuve Quest was superb. He made sure that we were taken care of and that he had a wonderful crew lined up to take care of such a large group of people. The food was superb. ...

Won't be returning...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/25/07
On our way for a stroll through Old Montreal we stumbled accross Eggspectation. It looked like a great place for breakfast. Couldn't have been more wrong. The atmosphere was wonderful, but the food did not meet our expectations. Food had very little taste. There are plenty of other breakfast bistros in the neighbour hood. Next time I am in Old Montreal, I will search out a small cafe that serves breakfast.

The Best Place for Eggs
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/20/07
I loved the decor, the menu was great. The best place for moring coffee and eggsetc. What a great concept and food. I think it was the best place we visited in Montreal. The Hotel St.James came close to 2nd.
A must see/eat when in Montreal.
Thanks for the great service and food.

Better than Eggspected
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/26/07
Julie and I had a romantic long week-end in Montreal and visited twice. The fact that there is so much else to do in the city prevented any further visits.
Great to get the Eggs Benidict so seldom seen in England. Would cerainly recommend this experience to any friends visiting Montreal.

EGGSactly what i was looking for
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/15/06
This place is amazing, their orange juice is fresh, the eggs are well cooked, the french toast is perfect and the waiters are fast at getting orders! If I had a choice for any restraunt in Canada, this would be my first choice for breaky, lunch and dinner!
This restraunt gets on the top of my favourite places to eat list. It is EGGSactly what i was looking for!!
My husband and I were in Montreal for a long, romantic weekend. The concierge at our hotel recommended Eggspectation for breakfast the first morning we were there. We were so pleased that we ate there three days in a row! We tried a different dish each day and everything was delicious.
Their prices are very reasonable. After the exchange ...
