We went to Toronto/Niagara Falls for a vacation last year and just HAD to stop at Gretzky's to check it out. We sat in a quiet room under a Habs jersey(2 thumbs up from me) and were waited on immediately. The waitress offered recommendations from the menu, all of which were excellent.

Dirty cutlery for us all, one with an especially large piece of another diners dinner stuck on it (no apology either). The food was just OK, nothing to rave over. The cost was excessive for what we were eating. There are to many good value, good quality restaurants in Toronto to waste your time on this one. A real let down.

I dined at the Sports Bar. I LOVED the Bacon Battered Perogies!!! Also, a great deal would be the pairing they have with The Second City which is a comedy club. You can book a dinner and show for a decent rate and they are connected. The service was above average but not spectacular and it is a little high priced. Great food, cold beer and watching the game. Great experience~

We went as a large group to dine at Wayne Gretzky's for a friend's birthday, and noticed right away how empty the restaurant was. We must have given them most of their business for the night, as we all ordered either steak or surf & turf. The waitress mixed up our orders and blamed us, the patrons, for moving seats when of course we did ...

The server was pretencious and fake, the spinach dip was so bland we added salt to make it edible, our pepperoni pizza had no sauce, too much parsley and only 8, count them, 8 thin slices of pepperoni on the entire surface. That was already disappointing enough but things turned for the worse when I found a slimy floatie in my expensive beer. After wasting 60% of our food, we ended up forking out $40 for the worst meal in Toronto.

The food was excellent, and there was plenty of it (three of the four of us couldn't even finish.) The prices were slightly upscale, but not ridiculous. Lots of Gretzky memorabilia, and the whole thing was topped with a large spinning replica of the old metal "rod hockey" players on the top of the building. A great place for a hockey fan of any age.
