  • The most complete and satisfying dining experience
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/17/09
Anyone who has been to Europe would find Via Allegro's decor to be simply extraordinary. The unique custom piece are beautiful! When I enquired, the manager informed me that they were indeed handmade and original. I love the imported pieces from Amalfi, the spectacular murano chandelier and the authentic ovens from Naple, Italy. The ...

  • DISSAPOINTING WEDDING ANNIVERSARY DINNER
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/29/09
Noisey.Overpriced. Underserviced. After a ninty five minute wait for beef and rissota GOOD, pasta which you could easily make at home, and gnochi, leaden balls of dough in a flavourless green sauce [they took off the bill and should take off the menu ]We were given a small bottle of prosseco and three small brownies in atonement in hopes we would come back. Not likely. We know our way around a kitchen and can cook as good or better meals at home.

  • Salt salt, and then more salt
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/25/09
Really was a pity that the dishes we had were so salty since the waitstaff was excellent.

We weren't even able to finish our main courses due to the excessive amounts of salt in both of our dishes! It was so awful I was happy the waiter didn't ask if we wanted to take our leftovers to go.

I have had several items off the menu. The extravangza for two is AWESOME!! The EXTACY grill is amazing, there pasta and meats just melt in your mouth. If anyone complains ...

  • What Took Us So Long?
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/24/08
Although we have known about this restaurant for 11 years, tonight was the first time we had been there. Our God Daughters had bought us a gift certificate for Christmas, and we took the plunge. Wow!! From the extensive wine list to the impressive and unusual menu, coupled with a terrific waiter (Ben), we had an extremely enjoyable dinner. ...

  • Incredible
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/21/08
A true 5 star restaurant. The food is prepared to perfection and the staff are professional and welcoming. I ate there for my 25th birthday and the fillet was one of the best I've had in recent memory. I wholeheartedly recommend Allegro's as the place to dine!!

  • Terrible terrible food :(
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/10/08
We were a group of 6 and had made reservations ahead of time-we arrived early, and yet were seated in the furthest corner table right beside the bathroom.
The free appetizers were stale, oily and hard. The worst of all was the stale, chewy pizza that had to be cut with a steak knife and the tasteless portabello rizotto. The menu was confusing ...

  • Better than I was told
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/14/07
My friends have been telling me for years to go to Via Allegro. Finally made it last time I was in town. It was simply the best. From the decor to the food I was blown away. It was a huge menu with something for everyone including organic beef. Wines from $30.00 a bottle with 60 by the glass. I was driving so could only have a glass and it was ...

  • TOO SNOTY
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/06/07
Did not eat the entire day because I know was going out for my birthday dinner . The service took too long, waiter was not helpful, too forever to serve us, they were under-staffed, We also got up and left after having just water , food came not cooked and then you loose your desire to eat. Too pricey, too arrogant. I have dined in other places in ...
