Fantastic food, poor srevice and racial commentsThe food was amazing, it really saved this place as the service was terrible. We had had a very tall waiter with glasses who was rude and had no patience for us. He also seemed to single out my east indian friend for bad treatment and we heard him make racial comments.

Most AuthenticThe best Indian food in Halifax, this coming from a South Asian native. The prices on some dishes are a bit more than some of the other Indian restaurants in town, but you get what you pay for, which isn't really a bad thing.

I Intend to ReturnI was very satisfied with this restaurant. The food was excellent. This was the best point of the restaurant in my view.
Aside from the food, I thought that the atmosphere was pleasant. It was unpretentious and relaxed. It had a "homey" feel to it. My waitress was friendly and service was prompt.

Best indian food in townLoved this restaurant, the food is sooooo good and the service is good too (although the waitress was very nice, she had difficulty recommending us food and both of us endend up with almost the same dish). Awesome Service, Terrible ValueDuring my visit I was greeted warmly by both the bartender and the waiter. Service was quick and requests for drink refills were fulfilled quickly. The waiter had a good sense of humor and engaged in small talk.

Festive, lively placeBeing Greek, my wife can judge a restaurant. We ate at Opa last year, and had a great time. Extensive menu, fair prices, good (though a bit disinterested) service. Our favourite dining experience!My guy is a great cook, especially of East Indian food, so when we dine out we are picky! We love going to the Taj Mahal. The food is fantastic, the service is warm and impeccable and the ambience is great. It is a great place to go for special occasions and it is always our pick for wining and dining our friends and family.
