Tauck Tour through CanadaWe loved all of it. The restaurant has character and the food it awesome. We also eat at the casual side (the Pub) and had another wonderful meal. Big Disappointment!My partner ordered the wings which cost $1 a wing and were very small and I ordered the spinach salad which was made up of mostly large untrimmed spinach leaves and pink tomatoes. My glass of Santa Margarita Pinot Grigio was $10.25 and my partner's local draft cost $6.88. I love eating out and do so quite often, and I have never felt so ripped off. I highly recommend itI had lunch at O'Carroll's with my wife on 8/1/07. The manager/waitress was incredible. What a wonderful person. The meals were top notch and the desserts were out of this world. The price was a little steep, but I think you have to expect that in Halifax. Overall, I am very very happy with the experience.1 of 2 Yahoo! Best Place in TownThis place was awesome, when we went to halifax our number one thing we wanted to do was eat at the five fisherman, all though there the food was pretty it wasnt on par with o'carrols, and the five fisherman was about a hundred bucks more(NO KIDDING) it cost us( me and my wife ) about 50 bucks at ocarrols and about 157.00 at the five fisherman ...1 of 2 Yahoo! This is our "Special Occasion" restaurant!If you are looking for a place to settle in for a laid back meal and a drink, or two, this is the best place in Halifax.
On the other hand, if tyou are looking for a more elegant meal experience, this is also the place for you.
We have enjoyed both the taste and hospitality of the pub and restaurant.
The price is reasonable and the service is always friendly.
