Everytime I'm in Vancouver so far it seems to be a tradition to stop in at this very cool cafe! I've walked over 40mins to go...I order my fav Ashoura Wheat Breakfast, and I can't get enough of it...although I've yet to venture of my regular order, I hear their waffles are just as good! A must go while in

Not Worth It
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/20/09
The food was edible but nothing to write home about. The service was really sad although there were only one other table occupied. The baby chair they gave us (we were told to take one and to install it ourselves although we were unfamiliar with how it worked) was broken and the other wasn't any better. The baby almost fell out of the chair ...

A Real Treat
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/31/08
Very neat atmosphere of all the nik-naks around the walls -- made for a lot of conversation for any 30-or-40-something. A delicious breakfast with plenteous portions, excellent hash potatoes and fresh-squeezed juices (including apple). Our waitress was patient and cheerful, and the owner took time to talk to us. We really enjoyed our visit to Sophie's.

Okay,,nneds a face lift and better food
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/05/07
Needs a face lift or a good dusting and painting.. Grubby with all those nick knacks that looked dusty even in the night. Interesting place but must have looked better years ago when freshly painted and clean..
Food ..so so, I ordered salmon, but the salmon burger was dry and not as fresh as it could have been .. In fact, I wondered if a canned salmon burger might have been taster!..

Best brunch on the west side
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/29/06
Sophie's is great. Go there. It's definitely the best brunch spot west of Main St. And their (simple) breakfast dishes are cheap! Mmmm - yummy. I'm going there now...

Ughhh
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/24/06
Why did we wait?? I had heard a couple great reviews and decided to try it for myself. After about 45 minutes in line, we were left wondering what all the hype was about. I've had much better breakfast and service at Denny's.

A great Little Diner
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/19/06
This is a great place for a family with young children as there are lots of knick knacks and pics to look at.
The service is standard, I like that they make their juices fresh here.
This isn't a place of culinary delight, it is just delighful home cooking. It's neither too pricey nor out of this world.
I like how this place has ...

Try Sophies...if you like your food bland and the service blander!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/19/06
Since when did trendiness equate to a culinary delight?
Sunday morning there was a 20 minute lineup for this place - I figured therefore it must be good, right?! - WRONG!!
My girlfriend and I had ordered breakfast. The bacon was cold, the eggs were OK (how can you screw up eggs) and the pancakes were VERY bland to say the least. Although ...
I don't understand what makes this restaurant popular, apart from a sort of hip, Kits-y aura. The food is mediocre, the service is indifferent, and it is way overpriced (guess they know how to reel em in). Kits is blessed with many great restaurants - don't waste your time and money here.

Good healthy food, lots to choose from the menu, but a bit pricey.
