Far north of the borderWell, it is two borders and a bit to Mexico, but Topanga reminds one of the best of California influenced Mexican cuisine.

Foodstuff = GoodstuffThis place is great. i've been going her for practically my whole life and can never remember being disappointed. Just make sure yyou try different items off the menu. I'm hooked!Best Mexican food I've had in a very, very long time - the meat is lean (without unwanted skin/fat), the dishes are tasty and plenty for the buck. The best "date" resturant in the city!On a Saturday night at 8pm there is a line-up outside Topanga Cafe and it's for a good reason: you can not find better California-style Mexican food in the city. Best Casual Mexican in VancouverI've tried them all, and this is my favourite place for Mexican in the Vancouver area. Unfotunately the place is a bit too small (good for the atmosphere, but bad for the crowdedness). No reservations are taken and the line can go out the door onto the street, so its best to get there early on weeknights.
