The zoo itself looked dismal. Attractions were closed or being dug up. The animals looked positvely sad. Especially the bald eagle who sat in a puddle of water and made a sad squawking noise. The Emu looked positively lifeless collapsed on the floor of a glass cage. Most of the animals are behind wire or glass not a simulated natural environment of the more wonderful zoo's like Taraonga in Sydney.

I loved Calgary Zoo! I just wish they had put on more tiger shows. i luv tigers so I personally wish they had more tiger shows. But besides that I loved it!

The Calgary Zoo is an amazing tourist attraction in Calgary. It's ideal for families. We love it so much we bought a family pass and we take all our visitors there.
They have fantastic youth programs and an incredible conservation program.
We love to check out the new Destination Africa Exhibit but there's lots of fantastic enclosures ...

boring just like everywhere else my child was scared by the prhistoric park and the souviniers were overpriced and poorly made i won't go back anytime soon

The animals were great and our 4yr old son enjoyed it but got really tired from the walking we were doing b/c I really think the building and signs should be WELL marked out. It would be nice if maybe there was some type of self tour you could clearly follow to see everything. We spent 4 hours there and some of that time was re-walking the same ...

as an english tourist we visited the zoo.
we have a large zoo near us in chester but
found this zoo more interesting. seeing the hippos swimming is spectacular, we dont have that in england, we also dont have bears anymore in our zoos, so seeing the magnificent animals was well worth a visit.
if we hear of anyone visiting calgary we will tell ...

The Zoo in Calgary is an awesome place! Especially for little kids! My kids loved the large play ground and we had an excellent time.

It was amazing! everything was so quiet and peaceful. All the animals are so beutiful. I rely liked how every animal was in its own teritory!!!
