this place used to be one of our favourites...unfortunately, when the prices went up, we noticed that the quality went down. (Note...the place was dead). $39.95 for a rack of lamb??? Give me a break! To add insult, the complimentary after dinner liquer tasted watered down.

Four of us,long time residents of Calgary and frequent patrons of Villa Firenze, went there recently for a birthday celebration. For openers, they "lost"our reservation, but managed to seat us. We waited more than half an hour for a harried young waitress to take our order, then cooled our heels for close to 45 minutes before the mediocre ...

For all you people who said it took to long to get your food. This is most likely because you were expecting a quick meal. Villa Firenze never claimed to be quick. Its a place to go with friends and exepect it to take a while. Our total meal took about 3 and a little bit hours, but it flew by because i was with friends. Plust the pasta and the tiramisu is amazing.

after arriving back from Italy my husband and I decided to try villa firenze. We were so glad we did. The food, especiallly the portobello mushroom appetizer, was fantastic. I wasn't thrilled with the service but I have had worse. Overall they seemed a little aloof to their customers needs. I took this as an exception rather than a rule. ...

I have been to Villa Firenze 2 times - Once for lunch and again last night for a private function. If you did not know, they have a large room in the back for private parties. It is very tastefully decorated with dark hardwood floors, beautiful painted scrolls on the ceilings and elegant light fixtures throughout the room. It truly feels like ...

Food was alright, but service was quite poor.

Our party of nine qualified as a large group, for which the restaurant automatically rewards themselves with a 17% tip. Meanwhile:

* Nobody at the coat check to take our coats, and no greeter at the door to show us to our table.

Totally enjoyed my meal. A great sound system with terrific music, but not too loud. Elegant decor. The pasta dishes are suberb, as is the portabello mushroom appetizer. I will definitely be returning!

This place is awesome! They have the best pasta I have ever had in Calgary. Their portobello mushroom appetizer is to die for. Villa Firenze apparently has been a long-time secret with local Calgarians, but I think the secret is getting out. I recommend you make reservations before you go.
