Firstly, I LOVE garlic so I was really looking forward to this dinner.
I found the atmosphere more claustrophobic than "romantic"

As garlic lovers, we found they didn't work on the best of what garlic should be. Over-priced appetizer dish was the first disappointment. Forever-waiting main courses were so-so tastes with high priced tags.
We were oversold. Won't recommend to anyone has tasted good foods somewhere else.

The food was excellent however the service was a little bit pushy when it came to the insistence we have dessert.

While the restraunts interior could use an updating the cozy atmosphere lends itself to a romantic evening out with your significant other.

A little on the pricy side but the food is worth the extra cost.

Its the perfect place for a anniversary or just a night out with the one you love.

I love love Garlic but this place goes way overboard. It's like the staff are trying to test the unsuspecting patrons and revel in thier expressions. Unless you are an absolute Garlic Psycho, I suggest that you go for appetizers and dessert somewhere else and only have a main course here.

This is the morning after a garlic induced flatulent night of no sleep and the smell and taste are still lingering. My colon will never be the same.

I loved everything about this place. The food was amazing, very, very good. The service was great, and the menu was extensive, a bit on the high priced side, but what do you expect this is Calgary. I think it's worth every penny.

My husband and I visit the Garlic Clove on our anniversaries and special occasions. We have always had great service, amazing food, and a romantic time. We have been going there for about 4 years now, and we hope too keep going for another 40 years.

One year ago we dined there and loved the place. Last Friday night (7 April 2006) we returned. We really enjoyed the starters and main courses.
Then the disappointing tackiness.
Our waitress asked about dessert; we requested a menu; she offered it verbally. I ordered a white chocolate mousse. The bill arrived with a $13.95 charge for ...

i would go for dinner instead of lunch... it was a cozy atmosphere, and warm in the winter!

chocolate covered garlic is better then it sounds!
