Overpriced, reasonable food, but terrible management. Went early so could get a 50% discount - worked out at equivalent of 40% by the time they had overcharged us for service charge and starters. Would suggest that many other london restaurants can give you a more pleasant experience for better value.

Interesting ambience but disappointing
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/12/08
This is an interesting looking Morroccan style restaurant with lively clientele. Food choices on the menu sounded better than the reality which consisted for us of 1) stewed fish dish with countless bones, 2) tasteless bread, 3) unexciting chicken in a mild sauce. For example, the couscous underneath the one chicken leg (that was the whole ...

I love the five star feel of the Darna. They make beautiful designs with the food and planty of it. Eating there You feel peacful and as if everyone is family.
The restaurant strikes you when you enter. It is beautiful. The colours, the lighting is gorgeous. But that seems the highpoint of the restaurant. I might be a little off, probably because I am a vegetarian and ordered vegetarian dishes only.
I had Vegetarian Pastilla as the starter. I have just eaten in a couple of moroccan, but the Pastilla ...

I liked it because the food was great!! It was one of the best places I have ever eaten at!! Some of the waiters seemed a little rood. But overall is was a very good place to eat. The next time I am by this place I shall bring friends and we shall eat there. The best place to eat ever!!

Resist the urge
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/26/07
I had read the reviews, so I thought this might be a nice place to take my girlfriend her first night in town, and I made reservations online. The sepia photographs on the menu with quotes like "come to home / come to darna" gave me pangs of doubt, but our intrepid gastro explorer resisted his urge to leave sailed on not realizing he had ...

great food but pricey!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/12/06
This is the kind of place that your family take you when they visit! At £30 a head for the gourmet menu which starts with this chicken pastry thing with cinnamon and sugar (amazing!) loads of salads, 2 lamb dishes (we had one shoulder of lamb and one sweet and sour lamb dish) a few cous cous dishes and a dessert platter and tea, it was a lot of food but a lot of money! Great service, lovely atmosphere.

Excellent but not cheap

Beautiful atmosphere and delicious food but expensive. If you don't mind paying a lot, don't miss it.

Darna is excellent
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/16/04
I've eaten at Darna several times. The food is excellent and the atmosphere makes you feel like you're in another time and place. I highly recommend the restaurant.
Only one complaint, double check the bill because they like to charge you as much as they can.
