for history buffs this place is incredible

the town is very accessible from other cities...public transport is great and lodging is abundant

restaurants are okay and many shops too

Windsor Castle is an amazing place and certainly the biggest fully functional castle in the world. It's still home to the Queen of England from time to time, and a joy to wonder around. The shops inside a little expensive, it's much cheaper to shop outside the castle.

Love Windsor Castle and been there twice at least. It has the best of the best in Great Britain and the town is worth seeing too. Do not remember the price. It is certainly one of my best memories of England.

The train trip to Windsor is actually quite pleasant and not too long (around 35 minutes?). The adjoining shopping area is quaint and fun.
