After walking up 1000+ steps of stairs at St. Paul's Cathedral, we wandered over to the Monument, which required us walking up a couple hundred more steps. The view from the top is beautiful, the monument itself is quite impressive, and you even get a certificate on the way down recognizing that you've walked up all the steps. A nice sight to check out.

The Monument is one of the best values in all of London. The view is amazing. The only con is the walk up, the 311 steps is a little tough. Other than that the Monument is well worth a visit.

One of the best value for money attractions in the whole of London. Forget waiting for the 'Eye', get the same kind of views here for a lot less money and bother and a lot more history.

it's a long walk up and very exhausting, but definitely worth doing once. if not for fun, do it for the exercise ;)
