In a small storefront decorated with shadow puppets, near busy Holborne station is a crooked-mile of a museum. Crammed floor-to-ceiling with games, puppets, dolls, and (its speciality) toy theatres, this museum is not to be missed. In the days before mass-produced plastic figurines and electronic games, children's toys were well-crafted treasures. This museum truly takes you to another world.

Pollock's was my favorite museum in London. I wish it was bigger. They had a lot of really interesting toys from other parts of the world,like shadow puppets. They even had ABC posters in different languages, as well as a karma board game that I learned about in a philosophy class. It is the Game of Good and Evil, which is like Shoots and ...

Pollocks Toy Museum

is the eccentric heart of England's toy and model theatre world. this quirky museum and shop takes one back to the 1850's. If you have a soul then Pollocks is not to be missed on a tour of London.
