i really enjoyed the atmosphere of the zoo because i like when animals are in my envirment for the hole holiday i didnt shut-up about the zoo !! after seeing the zoo for the first time i now would of loved if id seen it sooner and id advise other people to go there !!!!

I was really looking forward to going out on a day trip to the zoo with my brother and parents.
We had decided to go there over Howletts zoo and were extremely disappointed with our choice.

We hated the way there are signs everywhere that say flash photography scares the animals and yet thousands of flashes kept popping off scaring the Gorillas.

The zoo keepers reminded everyone of this rule but no one seemed to want to enforce it. The Gorillas appeared bewildered by the flashes but clearly a photo is more important than the ...

I love animals and i love learning, a brilliant experience, i have been many times, worth going, good for all the family, but if you dont like the wildlife etc, dont bother you will probably end up getting disapointed! fab experience once agin! brilliant ., thanx

Visited the Zoo a couple of years ago and there was quite a lot of building work just started so revisited to see what the improvements would do for the Zoo - and its fantastic!

I visited this jan 07, have not been here since i was at school in 1983! I really enjoyed my day, but was disappointed in not seeing the gorillas and the bears were not out due to the cold weather. I am planning to return this Easter weekend to visit the new Gorillas section just opened this Easter! and hope the Bears are out. All in all I think the zoo was well worth the money and a great day out.

I remember visiting the penguins alone, as I had mislaid my mother, and was found walking around with them in their enclosure by the water. I was 3 years old and remember the grey concrete and steps going down them to walk around with the penguins, who did not frighten me at all. My mother had searched for ages until I was found safely with my bird friends.
