The food, like the décor, is traditional yet elegant. The menu includes British classics and a few innovative twists such as grilled yellow-fin tuna loin steak with spicy Puy lentil salsa which was what I had. We had a really enjoyable and delicious evening. I would and will go back for certain.

An out of the way establishment, varied menu, lamb chops were wonderful; rabbit and leek pie was divine; pate of pheasant and duck liver and the rice pudding were delectable. Where you want to go when you don't want to go where the tourists go. Staff attentive, but not always present. Substantial wine list. Dined here once a week for 3 weeks. Average of 90 pounds for two, including starter, main, dessert, wine, and service.
