shish mahal experience was wonderful. when i was dining at shish mahal i was fealing the taste of my mothers cooking she is best in cooking and shish mahal is best in cooking hospitality, food, service and good value for money.

If you like Indian well look no further than the Shish Mahal. Everything is excellent, food, service, Value and Ambiance. Remember to book for friday and saturday nights and dress appropriate, this is not exactly your backstreet takaway.

I have been going to the Shish for over 20 years and it is still the best ever.

Another reviewer complained about the portions, I don't know where he/she usually eats but there is nothing wrong with the portion size.

The food is by far the best in the country, the service is friendly and quick, the amibenace superb.

The flavours of my formative years (not long after the place opened on the original site !!) are as fine as ever. Back home recently found time to get to the Shish. Although Ali wasn't there to greet us, the door was well looked after (no denying who the boys Dad is !), the Boss was running it all behind the scene. Still the best anywhere, and my battered Shish recipe book still serves me well. A true constant in my life.

as a curry eater for 36 years.I have never tasted as good a meal as the shish.the food is twice as nice as any other indian I have visited,and i`v been in a few.the service and friendly nature of the staff is second to none.try the spiced onions,i usually have 5 or 6 portions at every visit.
if you rate the meal as 10 out of 10 ,then the next best is a 5. a must to visit.
