It is hugely unimpressive. Looks like a row of miners cottages in Seaham. Level it. Very poor. Very poor. Terrible. Eyesore. Eyesore. Eyesore. Eyesore. Eyesore. Eyesore.

OVERALL
The Crown Jewel of Scotland
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 09/23/04
This castle and all of its medieval splendor is worth the trip to Edinburgh alone. Be sure to box off about a half-day with a worthy guide to get the most from this fortress that has never fallen due to seige. (by treachery sure but not to seige.) St. Catherines chapel inside is a quaint landmark to the antiquity of the site. Well worth a visit.
Center of the city and a must-do stop for anyone in Edinburgh. I also recommend walking the Royal Mile down to the Palace.

Majestic, historic

The Edinburgh Castle is worth the small entrance fee. For a few extra pounds, you can also enjoy the historically-packed audio tour (a must for the solo traveller!). Investigate the small museums inside, have bite at its eatery, and take in the sight of Edinburgh below you. The castle is a great stop for any photographer, amateurs included! ...

Absolutely Beautiful

I visited Edinburgh Castle this past summer and it was beautiful. This is by far the best place in the city to get a more than spectacular view. From the different chambers to the dungeons, well worth the visit.

i liked this place becuase its got lots of space and realy big, but i dont like the place becuase it ( in the summer) cramped (probaly becuase its such a good place!) but other whys its realy good!!!
On a wind swept spring day that held a bit of drizzle in the air we made our way to the incline of Edinburgh castle perched on a cliff. The gentle slope ascent is quite easy and eagerly we arrived at the large esplanade area where the tatoo rituals are performed, the view is grand and vast as well. At the inner entrance of the castle two statues are ...
