Am now officially a Villa Italia regular after been introduced to the place about 12 months ago by a friend. I must say the mussles in garlic and breadcrumbs starter is possibly the nicest food i have ever eaten. Why not try one of their home baked italian pizzas..beautiful
one negative point.moire staff needed

My Husband and i visited Belfast for the fourth time but had never eaten at the Villa Italia we decided to try there as we had been told by one of the Taxi drivers it was very popular.
The meal was fantastic as was the service well worth a visit.

We came here on Sunday evening (myself & Fiance)having previously visited before and decided the poor service that time was a once off.
There were too many customers for the number of staff on and we found it very difficult to wave any down, children were allowed to run riot around the place and the food was not what we expected. I ordered ...

i have been to villa italia a few times in the past and have found it ok - the last visit we made was for a relatives birthday and majority of group ordered mussels to start. When noticing that there were hardly any mussels in any of the shells we asked the waitress who had to be one of the obnoxious people i have ever met to see if they could be ...

Although pricey, the food was very good. Had trouble with the service though.
The menu was quite varied. I recommend the chicken and the salads. I do not recommend the calzones - they were all bread - very little inside.

Never Again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/23/07
Nice place, good menu, but unfortunately the food was soggy and unpalatable. I had dinner at Villa Italia on Wednesday past with my husband and brother. We each had a three course meal and the waitress cleared away practically full plates after each course. Not once did any one ask was everything ok or did we enjoy or meal, so being typically Irish we didn’t complain, we just paid , left and will never ever return.
