Boating afternoon on the Avon at BathWe spent a lovely day on the river at Bath. The rowing boat was great fun. My sister and nephew and my own daughter. Lots of laughts, stopped half way up for our picnic. Then at the Mill pub for a coffee. Beautiful day. Beware of parking, as I did, in Forester road or others nearby. Great DayLocated a bit off of the beaten track, the Boating Station offers an opportunity to see a beautiful and somewhat less traveled part of Bath from a different perspective. Ideal way to spend a summers afternoon.You can take a launch and be driven if you wish, but punting or rowing up the river is the greatest fun.
They tell you how to manage the boats if you haven't done it before and it's easy. Groups seem to spend the whole time laughing at their attempts to stay straight, then just around the corner you find couples looking very romantic as they glide gently along.
