I had been to 4 hamams during my stay in Turkey. Chamberlitas was my 2nd experience.

Pros: the architecture is beautiful and they have oil massage (too short though), Indian head massage and reflexology.

Cons: there was no clear instruction on what to do, the scrub therapists were very rough and they treat guests like cows, it was crowded. ...

dont rush,
wait until the stones heat you up like a infrared cabine
dont panic, you will survive the massage - even in some moments
you might be in doubt..
take your time to chill out afterwards

Architecturally speaking, this bath was one of the finest I experienced as I traveled across Turkey. However, what it had in beauty it lacked in comfort. The treatment was rough, fast and not fluid or relaxing. The place is beautiful but women get very harsh treatment. The 15 min wash, scrub and mini massage is not worth of the high price (45 ytl). The staff in the actual bathing section are unfriendly and my neck was jammed after the treatment. There's also lack of information how to dress etc. The brochyres of the place give a very different image of the atmosphere and service.

I have visited this Turkish bath several times. It very clean and atmosphere is lovely. Let them clean you. I am sure you will enjoy the bath.It is a must when you visit Istanbul
