A contrarian view?The atmosphere of the restaurant is pleasant and the location is extremely convenient to tourist major sights. The wait staff are efficient. The meze selection was limited. Spendy but VERY niceMy wife and I had dinner here our first night in Istanbul. The service is first class and it was a pleasure choosing our fish from the iced platter the waiter presented to us. The raki was on the house with bottles of the potent drink being passed from table to table to enjoy with mezzes. Authentic, popular, exciting.Tucked away a short walk from the Blue Mosque.
Very popular, fresh produce, snappy service and a reasonable priced wine list.
Worth the vist if you are into authentic experiences and not the usual tourist tat!.
The walk there was great, old fashioned wooden turkish bulidings; smell of wood smoke, children playing in the street.
