  • we hated it

people were mean, disrespectful, and rude. Need better parking space, and more restrooms. It was the worst experience I had ever had.I dont think many people would enjoy it.

  • Waste of space
    By katherinelwaller, 11/28/05
If you're a fan of modern art, this is the place for you. If not, don't waste your time. I fully considered this museum a complete waste of space and my money, however cheap the tickets were. I think that the art is completely useless and I was actually shocked to see one painting was merely a bunch of black dots. Don't waste your time at Reina Sofia, go to the Prado.

  • Better relax in a park
    By orlat84, 02/19/06
Maybe modern art is too complicated for me ;) but I think I liked maximum 3 pieces in the whole museum. It is a waste of time, space and money, even if the tickets were cheap.
If I would be again in Madrid for the first time definetly I would not visit this museum, I'd rather stay in a park.(Retiro park is very close and very nice)

  • This should be higher on your list
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 12/16/07
Reina Sofia is a great musuem. It holds many works by Dali, Miro and of course Picasso. The most important work being Guernica, which was made by Picasso to decorate the Spanish Pavillion at the World Fair in 1937. The museum is free on Saturday´s.

The Reina Sofia is definitely worth a visit. One of the most interesting exhibits is the extensive collection of Picasso

After visit the Prado, the Reina Sofia is the next must see art museum. You will find Picasso's masterpiece "Guernica" and a nice selection of Dali.

  • A must see for modern art lovers
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 03/13/05
I went here on a college trip and we got to spend the entire day there. It was the best and most memorable museum I've ever been too throughout my travels. They have the greats like Picasso and Dali but there are also several hidden gems and little touches scattered around that really make this place amazing. If you take your time and look all ...

  • What a great way to start off a visit in Madrid...
    By djmako, 06/06/05
I came to Madrid not really knowing what to expect. I just visited the museum this afternoon and having just visited the museums of Italy last week, I was really impressed with the artwork at the Arte Reina Sofia. I literally spent the entire afternoon walking through and admiring the various pieces. If abstract, surrealism, and contemporary art ...

  • Took my breath away!
    By madtvfan_11, 10/01/05
The museum from inside and outside screams modern art. The prices are not expensive, and students, like i, can get in for even cheaper with an id card (and u dont have to go to school in spain, it could be ur id from wherever school in the world you attend). The 2 levels are art should keep you busy enough, but thats not all the museum offers, also ...
