Share the roast pig - the entree size is big enough for 2 people. Don't get the lamb unless you like very gamely tasting lamb. The GARLIC soup is very GOOD. Avoid the over price fish soup though.
The roast pig wasn't anything special. It was 3 big pieces of meat, not tasty. The GARLIC soup with eggs is really good.

I will never regret going to the Botin restaraunt in Madrid. Worth while waiting! The food was delicious, and our children enjoyed it much. Any family that enjoys eating out, will enjoy this restaraunt.

A trip through history.

Even though the sign on the door says "Botine's" is the oldest remaining restaurant being in continous business from the 1700's, if you check the family heritage you will find the restaurnat goes as far back as the 16th century.
Outstanding traditional meals, the roast suckling pig was "to die for"! Fresh vegatables, ...

Very Traditional Experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/07/05
We visited Botin with our children aged nine and twelve. The food was very good as was the service. The staff on the top floor made a fuss of the children giving them postcards, menus and certificates from the Guiness Book Of Records as a keepsake. It lives up to is repuation as the worlds oldest restaurant. We will visit again.
