We visited Botin with our children aged nine and twelve.The food was very good as was the service. The staff on the top floor made a fuss of the children giving them postcards, menus and certificates from the Guiness Book Of Records as a keepsake.It lives up to is repuation as the worlds oldest restaurant. We will visit again.

i like everything in this place i hope i can go there again some time.

I had a fabulous time at Botin. I was seated upstairs in a tiled room that made me feel I had been invited to eat in someone's home. Sure, most everyone there is a tourist, but the waitstaff are wonderful and treat you well. The food was good, not great, but the entire experience on the whole was fantastic. I would definitely go back.

Not many places in the world like this place. Worth visiting Madrid just to eat here.

Second time I was there...first time over 23 years ago and its still going strong. Ambiance and service is remarkable. Going back a third time when I visit in November. This time taking my 15 yr old son so he can enjoy the ambiance and food.

Even though the sign on the door says "Botine's" is the oldest remaining restaurant being in continous business from the 1700's, if you check the family heritage you will find the restaurnat goes as far back as the 16th century.
