It doesn't open until 8pm, but most restauratns there don't open until 8pm.

Try to come early and eat at the bar for a true tappas experince (you also have a better idea of what you are ordering). The "Ciudad Condal" is just off the main tourist "drag" but very central just 2 minutes walk from the Placa Cataluña. A cut above the rest and without doubt the best tapas bar in Barcelona. (so say the locals).

I owe the cobbler who recommended this place to me a beer and a tapa. This was a fantastic place to meet with friends or to make new ones. Everyone is welcoming and the food and drink are second to none. I will never go to Barcelona and not stop by this place.
