I just got back from this highly recommended place and can not complain enough. I am a vegetarian and try to eat healthy. I understand my choices are limited especially in Spain, but this place was simply horrible even to my friends who had non-veg food there.

Wonderful, succulent food. Recommend the mussels, grilled chicken Catalan-style, and the lamb; ask for the private Rioja label house wine (with glass cork); alternately the 2005 MUGA is also good.

The place is beautiful, and let's have a drink there.
But food is terrible: heavy and without taste.
My cabrit was overcooked and cold: coming from the freezer and the microwave? I will never know, but I know i will never come back

We visit at September, 2007, and we fell Els 4 Cats was an nice place, nice foods, nice people, and nice price. and we are very enjoy .

The scene was beautiful, a piano player played the entire way through dinner. The wait staff was nice and helpful, especially since we spoke english and not a lot of spanish at all. The food was amazing! From the warm starter, crepes to the Veal and the Munkfish...sooo delicious!! This is definitely a big tourist restaraunt but it definitely holds up to the hype and I suggest all to attend!

We recently dined at this restaurant and whilst the service was excellent the food failed to live up to it's reputation. We both had fish which was cooked perfectly but lacked any imagination or seasoning!!
The atmosphere was fun but the piano player was truly awfull and just sufficently out of time to be incredibly irritating.
Our bill was 125 euro for two which was Ok by barcelona standards but seemed a lot for absolutely average food.

Great atmosphere, good service. The bottle of white wine was very nice and incluided in the price.

This was recomended to me by a professional in the catering trade and what a place! We took my Mum for her birthday and we all loved it! The food was amazing, I could have eaten there every nigth of the trip. The service was great as was the atmosphere. We also thought it was good value for money, who would have thought food so delicious would be so resonable. Go there at least once on your trip and treat yourself. It's worth every Euro.
