The best time is to go is in Winter, because the park if full of natural ice and you can skate round the park, if you haven't got skates with you - there is a skate hire , the place where you go to get your skates gets a bit full! But you do eventually get the skates! hehe

I was at Gorky Park in 2004. The rides were county fair like. Most seem to have been imported from German Octoberfest type parks about 10 years ago. I was not sure that the rides were entirely safe or well maintained but nothing happened.
