The somber walk across the square to the tomb, or the quiet stroll thru the park to get to the backside of this monument sets the mood. Once located in the center of a multi story palace, this shrine to the soldiers, sailors, and airmen of poland transcends the politics of the past and honors those who have served their nation. Tomb guards change hourly, rain, sun, sleet or snow, 24/7. A quiet place to review Poland's place in history.

Make sure you get there for the changing of the guard, because apart from that there isn't much going on. Make sure you read up about the significance of the site before you go, otherwise it's just another pile of beautiful bricks.
