We used the station in the last week in May 2005. The staff was helpful and it was very busy,but took the to help. they answered our questions about prices and where to get the train and the metro we also used. we also found several places with signs saying no 100 euro notes not just at the station but stores and resturants. Just like many countries;

My family and myself have spent a short May holiday in Amsterdam. Unfortunately, our positive impressions of the city have been damaged by an exceptionally poor customer service we have received at the Centraal Station at the end of our visit.
