This is certainly a fun stop. The actual museum part is a little boring but they have three beer stops in the complex and a large area for video messages to loved ones. They even have a green screen where you can pretend to be on a gondola or many other places. Certainly a good deal with the beers and the cute free gift at the end of the tour.

Best Deal on Beer in Amsterdam
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/01/08
The Heinekin Experience is a cool place to visit. Eaily acccessable by public transportation or a short walk from the Rijksmuesum. ( See the artwork before you start drinking beer.) It shows the innovativeness of the Heinekin Family as well as the making of beer and the history of the company. It is fun for everyone, but especially for the beer ...

I liked everything!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/25/08
I liked everything there is to do in amsterdam. the anne Frank house was cool and even though It rained a lot and our guide was magnificent.
I used to go every year for my birthday, but since Freddie died they decided to turn it from strictly marketing/not-for-profit (they used to give the money to Terra des Hommes and other NGOs) into a commercial venture.
So there is no guide, the parts your walking through are not used as a true brewery, and I thought it was a little overpriced. I will have to say the beer tasted amazing and the atmosphere was enjoyable though.

Free for me!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/29/07
I am not a beer drinker and I just wanted to say I'd BEEN there done that - but wasn't prepared to pay 11Euros to do it. So, I spoke w/the manager and he allowed me to go into the gift shop - no charge - I spent what I would have for the tour and free beers on souvenirs from the Heineken shop, left a video signature in their e-scrapbook and ...
Well this was fun. A little on the cheesy side but overall worth seeing. You get 3 free beers with admission plus a free gift. You will learn everthing about brewing Heineken plus see some retro commercials. Don't miss the carrige ride it's a hoot
I highly recommend this attraction. It is not only fun but educational. Take advantage of the live web cam to act like a fool to your friends back home. Also has a great gift shop with items you cannot get anywhere else. Well worth the time and money, especially since you get free beer and a couple of mugs att he end of the tour...

Not As Good As The Old Tour
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/30/07
The new "Heineken Experience" isn't as nice, as informative, or as fun as the "old tour"... but I understand why they changed it. The old tour was groups led through the old brewerie with little talks about the different parts and how beer was made, the history of the brewerie, etc ending with a few beers at the end. The ...
