Take the time to climb the STEEP steps/ladders up to the middle of the bell tower. The views over the city are fantastic! There is a tour while you make your way up the 4-5 other people. You get to see the structure of the tower and even play a few of the oldest bells.

Even though it's not one of the must-see of amsterdam the view from the top is worth the time and the pain to climb the narrow stairs.You can also hear the sound of the bells that Anne Frank used to hear when she was hiding.
