As a family of 4 with kids aged 17 and 4 (quite a task, believe me!) we went to this restaurant primarly on the strength of web reviews on this site. We found it cosy, very tolerant to the errant ways of our energetic little son, with superb service capped with excellent food. Fine dining this does not pretend to be. The best in Venice!!!

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/09/06
i loved everthing it was the best place to go and eat i can't wait to go back the scene was lovely my girlfriend and I thought it was the best place to eat in Italy the service was great and the food was amazing
We spent several nights in Venice this past March and ate dinner at Osteria Antico Dolo on two occasions. The food is excellent. The service was good (remember, in Italy the wages aren't tip dependent, so just relax and enjoy, you're on vacation). The place is small and gets packed very quickly. I recommend the strawberry ice cream!
A great cosy setting just off of the Rialto Market. Wonderful family service, with great food. A must try for all visitors to Venice - Watch out for the small toilet though!

When entered ...
